What does a loan signing agent do?

A certified Notary Signing Agent facilitates the signing and notarization of loan documents, typically for real estate. Whether it is your first time signing for a loan, or you have previous experience, I want to make sure you feel good about the process. Buying a home should be an exciting time, but it can also be very stressful or confusing. I strive to help clients feel informed and confident during the signing process. It is also my responsibility to deliver the completed, signed loan documents to the appropriate party.

Who pays the signing agent?

Typically, a signing agent contracts with your title company or loan provider. They'll choose one for you, and pay the fee. However, since I am a National Notary Association-certified loan agent, you may be able to request my services. A borrower can also contract with me directly, and pay for my services, if they would like to choose their own agent. I do provide a discount to borrowers who contract with me directly.
